The group tasked last summer with assessing how well the 4-year-old budget model is working for Iowa State has completed its work and posted an interactive report online.

Residence department's retention tool is getting results
A 20-minute online fall survey of freshmen helps personalize campus resources for their transition to college. The data shows that participants have better GPAs and retention rates.

Who's coming to campus this summer?
Summer means camps and conferences for university campuses. Here's a quick look at who will visit our campus in the next few months. One of the largest groups, an estimated 15,000 OMers, arrives next week.

Reynolds named School of Education director
Ralph Reynolds, professor and chair of the educational psychology department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, begins July 1 as the first director of the School of Education in the College of Human Sciences.

ISU attacks student debt through research, resources
A recent ISU study of student debt is the latest tool in measuring and increasing financial literacy among students.

Study: Prosocial video games promote good behavior
ISU psychology researchers found evidence of beneficial behavior in youth who play prosocial video games.

Protein discovery could boost bioeconomy
Research groups from ISU and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies have uncovered the function of three plant proteins. The discovery could help plant scientists boost seed oil production in crops and, in turn, the production of food, biorenewable chemicals and biofuels.

Memorial Day ceremony is May 28
ISU employees, retirees and spouses who have died during the past year will be remembered at the university's annual Memorial Day ceremony May 28.
