Spring tuition increase goes to regents next week Meeting Sept. 9 in Cedar Falls, the state Board of Regents is expected to vote on a proposed 3 percent spring semester tuition increase for resident undergraduates. Study looks to slow muscle loss in older adults Kinesiology professor Rick Sharp is working to slow the progression of sarcopenia -- the loss of muscle mass and strength common in aging adults -- by studying the effectiveness of supplements and resistance training.
NSF awards maximum funding to ISU-based center The Center for Biorenewable Chemicals has received an additional three years and $8.48 million in grant support from the National Science Foundation, bringing its NSF support to the maximum allowed: 10 years and $35.26 million.
