Strategic plan headed to regents for final OK

Study shows effect of age on turtles
Iowa State research shows that, contrary to conventional wisdom, turtles do not age without suffering its effects.
Student race team off to strong start
Following a sixth-place finish in Tennessee this spring, ISU's student Baja race team prepares for races in California and New York.
Developing spray controls A $7.5 million U.S. Department of Defense grant will support research on the prediction and control of sprays. Mechanical engineering professor Ted Heindel is part of the team, utilizing X-ray tools in his Experimental Multiphase Flow Laboratory.

Memorial Day ceremony is May 30
Employees, retirees, spouses and ISU alumni and friends will be remembered at the university's annual ceremony on Monday, May 30, at the ISU Alumni Center.
Statewide scavenger hunts starts May 27 ISU Extension and Outreach has partnered with the athletics department for a summer-long scavenger hunt leading up to the Cyclones' Sept. 3 football home opener. Prize packages in specially marked boxes will be located in each of Iowa's 99 counties. Participants can find clues on athletics' Facebook and Twitter accounts.
'Intertwine' runs through June 1
Make a point to get to downtown Ames this month to see a public art project on the exterior of the College of Design's Design on Main, 203-207 Main St. More than 1,000 knitted and crocheted squares mounted on 37 frames of varying sizes blanket the front of the building.
