Body cameras among campus safety initiatives
Body cameras for uniformed police officers, an app for summoning safety escorts and an expanded multicultural officer liaison program are among the safety initiatives underway on campus.

Tuition increase vote is set for July
The state Board of Regents will vote July 18 on a second tuition increase proposal for the 2016-17 school year. The board also received an update on four cases in the TIER efficiency initiative at its June 9 meeting.

Higher ed needs in Des Moines
The state Board of Regents received a final report June 9 from consultants it hired to do a higher education needs assessment of the Des Moines metro area.

ISU entomologists are researching the introduction of a biological control -- in the form of a harmless wasp -- as a suppressant for soybean aphid populations.
