Linking copper to prion damage
Researchers have developed several single-molecule research techniques to study how copper ions damage prion proteins, which are found mostly in the brain.

Board of Regents public hearing
Record your comments about any item on the board's July agenda at the July 14 public hearing (noon-1 p.m., MU Oak Room). An agenda and meeting materials for the July 18 telephonic meeting will be posted to the regents website by July 12.

Student-designed experience on display
As part of a studio project, Design students created a pavilion for the Des Moines' 80/35 music festival (July 8-9). The structure offers shade, seating and a sensory experience of music, light and color.
