Fountain plaza work is wrapping up
The area surrounding the Fountain of the Four Seasons will have a new look in early August, complementing the wall constructed across Union Drive last summer. The project is part of President Steven Leath's campus beautification initiative.
New strategic plan era begins The new strategic plan, which went into effect this month, is more measurable and more of a living document than its predecessors, says the leader of the plan's steering committee.
Tuition reimbursement program gets a makeover The program, which reimburses eligible P&S and merit employees for coursework, has received a few tweaks -- recommended by the Professional and Scientific Council and approved by the University Benefits Committee. The changes take effect in August.
Negotiations underway for new technology systems Negotiations continue as the university seeks new cloud-based software to run the university's financial, human resources and student information systems. Officials also are evaluating a new identity access and management system, which would manage user logins and permissions across ISU's vast network.

Recycling at the ramp
The city and university are hosting the community's first Rummage RAMPage this weekend, July 29-Aug. 2, at the intermodal parking facility on Hayward Avenue. Scheduled during the annual lease turnover window, the intent is to keep household items out of landfills and find homes for useable items.
