P&S Council considers requests for salary hikes, improved performance evaluations
For the second straight year, the Professional and Scientific Council is considering recommending an average salary increase of 3 to 5 percent in FY 2020 for P&S staff.

Senate closes out the fall with term faculty teaching report and policy proposals
In an annual report to the Faculty Senate, data showed a slight increase in the percentage of instruction done this fall by term faculty and staff.

Semester break serves multiple purposes

Where science and art meet
Olivia De Kok came to Iowa State as an uncertain freshman, but graduates Saturday with a degree in biological and pre-medical illustration. Iowa State is one of a handful of universities to offer the major where De Kok found her calling.

A study by Iowa State doctoral student Victoria Pocius may help efforts to restore monarch butterfly populations by identifying plants female monarch prefer for egg-laying.
