Departments wishing to have interior remodeling or new furniture installations completed prior to the start of fall semester must submit their service requests by April 1 to facilities planning and management.

Biomolecular research gets $3.5 million boost
The Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust, Muscatine, committed more than $3.5 million to the biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology department for the purchase of a state-of-the-art cryo-transmission electron microscope equipped with a direct electron detector.

Disclosing bedbug history pays off in long run for landlords
Policies requiring landlords to disclose a rental unit's history with bedbugs may raise short-term costs for landlords, but they are an effective way to reduce infestations and lower long-term costs, according to a just-published study.

College improv festival is at the M-Shop Saturday
Grandma Mojo's Moonshine Revival, Iowa State's student improv comedy troupe, will host three other Iowa improv teams -- from Iowa, Northern Iowa and Drake -- in an inaugural "Improv of the Corn" festival Saturday, March 9 (8 p.m., MU Maintenance Shop, doors open at 7:30 p.m.). Tickets are $10 ($5 with college ID) at the door.

Cyclone gymnasts face challenging opponent Monday evening
The Cyclone gymnastics team, fresh off a 0.025-point win over the University of Iowa, has a dual meet with No. 1 in the nation Oklahoma on Monday, March 11 (6:30 pm., Hilton Coliseum). Purchase $3 discounted tickets in advance via Ticketmaster and buy one, get one free.
