In a presentation to the P&S Council, interim vice president and CIO Kristen Constant highlighted an online list of known issues with Workday. Overall, project leaders are cautiously optimistic about the transition to the new system.

ISU scientists call for broad ag collaboration
ISU researchers hope to connect the "silos" of various disciplines by encouraging wide collaboration to address agricultural challenges. The effort is part of the Genomes to Fields Initiative, which began in 2014 to make genomic data related to corn as widely available as possible.

Arts and events
Iowa Games continue this weekend
July 19-21 marks the second, though perhaps largest, weekend of the summer Iowa Games, with many venues on campus and around Ames. The games' opening ceremony is Friday, July 19 (8 p.m., Jack Trice Stadium, enter at gate 3). Admission is $5 (12 years and under $2, free for athletes and coaches), with proceeds benefiting Adaptive Sports Iowa, which specializes in sports opportunities for Iowans with physical disabilities. The Iowa Games conclude, with fewer competitions, next weekend.
