Workday help is available for returning faculty
Training and resources are available for faculty who need to get up to speed on ISU's new finance, payroll and human resources system.

Extension committee shares proposals for new structure
The two proposals are designed to reshape ISU Extension and Outreach to best serve Iowans. Extension employee feedback will help shape a final plan, to be shared Oct. 21. A new organizational structure would begin next July.
New content is focus in second year of Miller OER grants
In its second year, the Miller Open Education Mini-Grants program shifted even more of its focus to supporting faculty who are crafting original open educational resources.
Student, alumni businesses earn pitch-off awards
Thirteen innovative ideas earned students and alumni cash awards during a public pitch-off at the university's state fair exhibit. They emerged from 112 pitches over the first eight days of the fair.
Looking back at summer headlines Workday officially launched, the Student Innovation Center is 75% complete and numerous Iowa Staters were named to new posts. Inside Iowa State had plenty to cover over the summer, so get caught up with some of the headlines.
Students required to take sexual assault prevention training
As part of Title IX requirements, all ISU students will take sexual assault prevention training this fall. It is administered in two parts in Canvas.

Change agent: Steven Herrnstadt
Steven Herrnstadt, University Professor of industrial design, begins his 39th year teaching in the College of Design next week. But nearly four decades in, he feels he is "just now ready to begin." Best known as a photographer, Herrnstadt's most recent passion is metalsmithing. He's often in his driveway, forging knives in 2,300-degree heat.
