One finalist withdraws from presidential search
The Iowa Board of Regents announced today that one of the three finalists for the Iowa State presidency has elected to withdraw from the search. Two finalists are scheduled for daylong visits to campus next week. In addition to meetings with faculty, staff, students, administrators and other stakeholders, each finalist will hold an open forum (4-5 p.m., Memorial Union Great Hall) on these dates:
- Wednesday, Nov. 5
- Thursday, Nov. 6
Live video streaming of each public forum will be available on the Iowa Board of Regents website. Each candidate's name will be announced 24 hours in advance of their day on campus, and their curriculum vitae will be available on the presidential search website.
Interviews with the regents on Nov. 11
Following next week's campus visits, the regents will meet Tuesday, Nov. 11, in a closed session to hear from the search committee co-chairs, interview the finalists and select Iowa State's next president. The public introduction of the new president tentatively is scheduled for 6 p.m. that day in the Memorial Union.
